This is a known problem with older iPads with iOS 10. The problem only occurs on iOS 10 iPads. iPhones with iOS 10 are not affected.
There is currently no resolution available for this issue because it is caused by a bug in iOS 10 (on older iPads). There may be a workaround for this in the future, but since this is very hard to reproduce (and even on the Apple iOS 10 simulator software is not reproducible), we can not say when a solution (if any) will be available. Definitely only the use of a new iPad with iOS 11 or better would help here.
myatmo will require at least iOS 11 in a future version, as we can not further develop myatmo with the technical features of older iOS versions.
